Nodding, she sat on the seat tentatively, resting her hands in her lap and looking anywhere but to the entrance of the ride. The man came over and lowered the safety bar, which only made Chihiro feel worse, because if it was such a safe ride why would it need a safety bar? Her hands moved from her lap to the safety bar in an attempt to feel better about the ride. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad, like Hiro said.
The carriage gave a gentle lurch as it started and Chihiro squealed in fright, shrinking down into the seat in a vain attempt to hide behind the bar. "M-maybe this wasn't such a great idea," she whispered as the train entered the darkness and the crappy Halloween mixture could be heard. "D-do you think they'll let me out if I ask them-"
Chihiro was cut off when something brushed across her knuckles and she flinched and glared in the dim light at him. "Don't do that!"
