Bela unclasped her purse and pulled out the key to her apartment. It would have been a waist of a perfectly good door. Though it wouldn't have mattered. Bela was already planning on moving the next morning.
She began reasonably. "There's salt lining the door and a Devil's trap on the ceiling and underneath the rug. I would take care of both but someone has gone and broken my arm. Faith the Vampire Slayer?" Did she sound mocking? Yes she did. "I believe you'll have to take care of both."
And with that Bela pushed open the door, kicking a line through the salt that was behind it so that once the traps had been taken care of, Ruby would be able to easily step through. She was aware that neither of them would let their guards completely down, but that didn't mean she she couldn't at least lay the foundations for a false sense of security. She would behave for now. Shoot later.
Opening the door revealed a gorgeous foyer, complete with paintings that Bela never really bothered to admire and expensive furniture she hardly used. "Welcome to my home."
