Elisabeth nodded slowly at him, but she didn't answer his question at first. She stared at him for a few moments then moved her eyes to the table and stared at it too. "It was after a shift, at the Lux. Sam and I were walking...oh, not Winchester. We were walking when He approached us." She tilted her head and sent an image of the Joker to Peter; but that was the only thing she sent before backing off. "He came back for us, in a darker part of the street, more deserted."
She put her free hand on her stomach, frowning, still not making eye contact. Her voice was much softer now. "The baby's gone now."
It was all she offered about that night. It was too fresh, too painful, it made her want to vomit and scream and smash a chair through the glass of the coffee shoppe.
