Who: Kat Manx and R.J. What: BACKDATED angst. When: After the near Apocalypse Where: The beach Warnings: A is for angst?
Kat knew this wasn't the right time to be going AWOL, that the rangers needed her and things were dangerous. The suite had been nearly soaked with blood, it brought back all the memories of A-squad's deletion full force and she panicked. Nearly had a break down after the rangers left and the place was silent. She remembered that day like it were yesterday, sending A-squad off to their execution after B-squad placed their containment cards in her hands. It crushed her to sentence them. She remembered the nights she spent laying awake and in a trapped in a vicious circle of nightmares after the judgment was handed down and she witnessed her hand picked squad's destruction.
She'd tried so hard to wash the blood off her hands, literally scrubbed them until they were raw. It did no good and so she left. She couldn't handle it. She'd finally reached breaking point so she kept walking, had to get away from that place as fast as she could. She walked and walked until she got to the beach several blocks away and nervously looked down at her hands. Still there...She knelt down as she felt the water touch her booted feet and rinsed them with a slight wince. Trying to listen to the sound of the waves and attempting to block her memories. She was always so strong, and now she didn't know how to cope. Charlie had pushed her to far with her comments, and then the blood...even rocks had their breaking points. This was hers.
