"It's not a constant state of being," Cathy told Faith confidentially, shrugging a shoulder as she lifted the glass to her lips, feeling suddenly very comfortable with any topic of discussion. Likely due to the alcohol, she mused. "After my divorce, I didn't even want to think about men, let alone ever trusting one again. It took about two years to get over it...but then, there was Lindsey, you know?"
She was getting babbly, but she hardly minded, catching that smile on Faith's face and shooting her an inquisitive look. "I do appreciate that," she told her with a laugh. "Your turn. Anything fresh and exciting in your love life?"
