Cathy nodded, raking a hand through her hair as she bit back the disagreement that sprang forward immediately. She knew there was truth to them, but she couldn't seem to accept the reassurance. Not yet. The smile that appeared was grateful when Faith allowed the matter to be pushed aside for the time being.
"I'm...sorry," she told her sincerely, frowning deeply as she took the bourbon, turning her gaze to stare into the amber-colored liquid. She was unsure of what else there was to say, short of inquiring as to what exactly had happened with Buffy in the first place (she was missing out on the details). However, she had the feeling that perhaps now wasn't the time to ask Faith to spin the tale, especially since both women happened to be holding a shot of very potent alcohol in their hands. They were supposed to be relaxing, not stressing themselves out more than they already were.
With a small smile, she lifted her glass. "To tomorrow being a better day?"
