Heather was relieved by the fact that they had all ended up in the same place, rather than being thrown in every direction. She wasn't even sure if that was possible, but it was just something she'd thought about at the last minute. Not like it was a good time to wonder after it was already done, though.
She took the flashlight from Alessa and watched her with a furrow in her brow as she conjured up a ball of light that seemed to brighten up the entire area all at once.
As she turned her own flashlight on for extra visibility and looked around, she saw the very same thing that she'd seen during the ritual back in the real Los Angeles. Grating with fire bellowing underneath instead of the ground, decay and blood smeared on every building, and strange sounds coming from almost every direction that indicated the familiar monsters and creatures.
The way Alessa worded her question caused her to frown in displeasure, but she didn't say anything about it. Instead, she sighed and began walking. "Let's just start looking."
