Being flung forward onto her hands and knees against the ground was not a pleasant experience, but Heather ignored the stinging in her palms and the ache in her kneecaps as she pushed herself to her feet once more. She made sure to hang on tightly to the chain, and she was relieved to still be holding it firmly in her grasp upon landing.
Squinting through the fog and the accompanying darkness, she looked towards Sam, or wherever he'd been last upon leaving the hospital. "Sam?" She wanted to make sure he was okay, and she also figured that he must've brought a flashlight along with him in his backpack.
