Her pulse was sounding loudly in her ears as she panicked. Eyes were still closed as she tried to gain the composure to continue praying. Her abilities as the Pillar were the only thing that could help her at that moment. Even so, it didn't really seem like her prayers were helping. The creature still had her by both of her wrists and he was trailing his fingers up and down the side of her neck. Still she squirmed away from his touch until it seemed he'd had enough of toying with her.
"Such a fidgety little one you are. We'll have to fix that..." he said, tightening his grip on her wrists. With his other hand, he brushed some of her long blonde hair away from her face. "And such a pretty girl you are. I always like to see the pretty ones scream." Tears had begun to fall from her eyes again. There had to be someone to save her. There just had to be.
It was then that she heard the voice coming from the entrance of the alley. She turned her head to look at the young man who had spoken, relieved that someone had her her cries for help. The man holding her, however, did not seem so pleased. "Of course I'm not going to let her go. It would be a shame to let the blood of such a pretty girl go to waste," he said, holding Emeraude closer.
Still a bit too afraid to speak, she looked from one face to the other, wondering just how this was going to play out.
