"I anticipate taking you up on that offer," Bela said, making note to do just that the next time Lilith reared her child-like head. Her lips thinned into an almost non-existent line as she thought about the demon.
She smiled, pleased with all she'd accomplished in this short meeting. She didn't know Lilah Morgan well enough to place explicit trust in the woman, but she felt as if they'd developed some sort of rapport, which was what she'd wanted most of all. The gun was safe and she was employed and protected. It was more than she could have hoped for.
"I'm glad to have found that you and Wolfram and Hart live up to the reputation," Bela said politely. She reached down to close her bag and pull it into her lap. Their meeting was coming to close, she thought, and she did not want to overstay her first welcome. "I hope to live up to mine."
