Jared paused in his steps, his keen senses where put on the razor edge. He let his sense of smell draw in everything about him, the smell of the street, and the distance scent of flora and then a scent he didn’t recognized. Human but there was something unusual about it, chemical? Gently he cocked his head without looking back. Then he heard something that set his digits to tighten into fists and set a slight chill up his spine. Jared started to calculate if he should just continue or face this laughing foe that found an unknown joke on him. Something in him made him decide to do the last option perhaps out of curiosity or to protect the Hyperion from what he was sure was a mad man. Very slowly he turned his hooded head towards the source, his face shadowed from the Joker’s view. A cultured yet whispery voice baring an accent issued from beneath the hood, his head bowed “Is there something funny?” Gradually he lifted his head, twin eyes like liquid mercury shone out of the shadows of his hoodie.
