Re: Meanwhile... In Long Beach...
Were his eyes playing tricks on him, or had his brother literally come back from the dead? Unless he was dead himself and this was some sort of afterlife. Rob had always wanted to learn how to surf and arriving to a beach was the perfect setting, but how could he surf when he was still injured and not able to magically summon a board like movies portrayed heaven-- or wherever-- to be capable of?
He didn't understand what was going on, but the sight of his brother had left him flabbergasted and after a second of staring, Rob repeated his brother's words with a bit more enthusiasm "you have no idea how happy I am to see you."
Unfortunately for Jason, he had lost more then his group on the bridge that night. "No," he shakes his head sadly when his brother hadn't seen anyone else either. Rob had been hoping that Beth would be near, but so far, she wasn't around. "I went back for Beth after... after we separated, and I rescued her, but she's not here, and I don't know where she is. We have to find her."
