What: Bela's got the Colt and she's not giving it up easily
When: Monday evening
Where: Bela's flat
Status/Rating: incomplete/pg-13
Her feelings about her meeting with Sam were mixed for many reasons. For one, she had so been looking forward to watch Dean hand her the keys to his beloved Impala. Some said she didn't have a sense humour, but she certainly did. It was there, just… twisted. She didn't laugh at much in life, but she would have gotten a kick out of that. Bloody car wasn't worth anything near two million dollars, but the look on Dean's face would have been worth every lost penny. Not to mention it would have assured the return of the Colt or the procuring of Ruby's knife. Dean wouldn't have left her with the car forever.
It was still a possibility of course, but Bela knew she had to think practically about matters involving money and her business. She was looking to build up her sellable inventory, and if Sam thought he had something to offer then she owed it to herself and her clientèle to look into it. She was less than confident in what he'd bring to the table, but decided that looking the item over on her terms wouldn't do any harm.
The location of her flat was another downside to this little meeting. She'd not yet been in Los Angeles long enough to establish more than one base and after tonight the Winchesters would know where she slept at nights. Needless to say that didn't sit well with her and as soon as Sam had agreed to the meeting Bela had called a realtor. She and Dobbs the Cat would be relocating in the morning. She would keep this apartment to use for storage if only because some of the safes were strong and located in very convenient places and Devils Traps had already been laid underneath the carpets, but she wouldn't stay here.
She was completely armed by the time Sam was set to arrive because she expected him to be the same. It would have been nice to make it through a meeting without having to pull a gun on someone, but these were the Winchester boys and Bela planned for the worst. Because of that the Colt itself stayed in the safe above her mantel for now. She expected he would need to see it as proof before any goods changed hands (or at least she hoped he would for his sake— she'd not remembered them being that idiotic) but she didn't want to give him the opportunity to grab it and run. It would come out when Sam told her what he had to offer in exchange and no sooner.
