She just stared at him as he said the words, her left hand moving over her heart, the right hand remaining near the window.
"Either that or something else would have delayed it..." she found herself murmuring, and shook her head. She let out a long, shaky breath. "You... you can't... you can't be. A man doesn't... die, and then magically come back three months later. I don't care if he is Kryptonian... it doesn't make sense..." She trailed off, as she suddenly recalled Elaine's words.
He's in stasis.
A very death-like coma.
A coma...
Lois hadn't believed it, not really. She'd wanted to, of course, but it seemed impossible. If Elaine had been right, that explained why he apparently didn't realize it'd been three months. And if Elaine was right, then she really was God.
