The look she cast him was quizzical, and the little girl pulled back to survey her brother. As she had known him, when he declined an invitation to go outside, it had been the result of a long night of carousing. Her face fell somewhat disappointedly, immediately assuming that this was also the case, despite the drastic change she had noticed in him in the short time since they had been reunited.
