Once again, Alessa thought about what TK was telling her. During her thought process she stood up from the rock she had been sitting on. A smooth, flat stone caught her attention. She picked it up in her hand, and skipped it across the lake.
"I don't know what to say about that. Perhaps it has something to do with your will?"
The stone then came skipping back into Alessa's hand by absolutely no volition of its own. But, this time she refrained from skipping it, and simply placed it down. She turned around to face TK once again, and finally explained.
"Perhaps it's because different worlds have different versions of this Force you talk about. Not the same thing mind you. A long time ago, before Silent Hill was named Silent Hill, there lived a group of people there. They believed that spirits lived in everything. The rocks, the trees, people, animals. Some spirits were benevolent, some malevolent, and some were both and or neither."
She closed her eyes, and gave a little laugh, not at TK, but at her own spirit. Sometimes she wondered if she was fully human, but now wasn't the time to dwell on such things.
