Cordelia arrived at two minutes past eight, for a multitude of reasons really. One, she'd had a vision right before leaving and had spent an extra five minutes making sure it was taken care of before actually stepping out of the hotel. Two, she'd run into some traffic on the drive over and hadn't wanted to risk another ticket just to shave a minute off her commute. And, three...
Well, honestly, she'd wanted to make sure he was there first. And he struck her as the type to not be even a minute late if he could help it.
Entering Koi with a smile upon her face, the brunette glanced around as she moved through the crowd. There were a few 'B List' celebrities present, as per usual, and murmurs of someone from the 'A List' supposedly arriving soon. Truth be told, Cordelia didn't follow the rumor mill as much as she used to and really wasn't worried about catching a glimpse of some new up-and-comer.
Almost across the patio and she spotted her date for the evening. Her smile remained sexy, confident, as she moved toward him. She took a seat without much preamble, glad he'd snagged a table that was out of the way while they waited for the one she'd reserved for them in the main dining room area.
"Well," she greeted him as she brushed some hair from her shoulder, "you're here. That says something, at least." Not the friendliest of greetings, but at least she was sincere. It was a little strange, having a conversation with someone she'd already counted upon never seeing again.
