"Shh," Cathy murmured consolingly, expression falling as she considered the question, knowing that what she had to say would only hurt. But she couldn't in good conscience lie to the girl, either. That wouldn't help anyone.
"We could try," she replied truthfully. "I don't know what and I doubt they'd listen or care. They're using us to complete their own agendas, and it's not right, and it's not fair, but that's what it is." She sighed.
