Aang could barely hear Katara over the sound of his own rage and the rush of wind that flowed around him and expanded when he saw Azula's attack. Azula was no different then most of the others he'd faced, many of them suspected because he was a child he couldn't be that powerful. Shouldn't be that strong. But he was the Avatar sometimes his childish and innocent curiosity made people forget but it wasn't hard to remember once he started to really fight. He was moving the air like a whip to snuff her fireballs in rows at a time.
It wasn't that hard when he controlled the wind to put out the flame. But he couldn't do it forever. Even the Avatar state had it's limits when he wasn't a master of all the elements yet. Katara's hand stopped him from rising into the air, but didn't stop him from unleashing another powerful blast of air Azula's direction that again scaled the side of the building and lashed at her. It tore windows off their hinges and sent them falling to the ground near them.
Katara was reaching him slowly. The wind was settling again and the glow was softening. There were beads of moisture in his eyes as he finally began to calm down. Katara was the one he loved the most..she wasn't angry for putting them in danger, she wanted him. He could be himself again. The glow started to fade and his eyes slid shut he lost consciousness. The Avatar state took alot out of him.
