The smile she'd been wearing since his tree/cat remark softened when he kissed her forehead, her eyes closing gently at the same time until he pulled away. A sort of calm fell over her, and it felt as if everything had slowed down for a moment or two. Her mind wasn't racing, and neither was her heart. She didn't feel so wired and on edge, and that was a welcome sensation after becoming so stressed in such a short amount of time.
"That's good to know, thank you," she murmured, tilting her head to kiss his mouth slowly before pulling away again.
She sighed and nodded. "That's usually the way it goes, at least. Let's hope this isn't all backwards or something. And let's really hope that when it's done and over with, there won't be anymore catastrophes for a while. My head's about to explode the way it is."
