Truth be told, Cordelia had been so busy trying to keep the creepies and crawlies away from the hotel that she almost didn't notice the approaching figure until he was all but on the scene. Even then, the only reason the white glow was seen was when she was mid-spin, sword being swung around to decapitate another of the demons. She glanced up then, brow knitted together as she tried to figure out what was going on now.
Apparently, a few of the monsters wanted to know much the same for they stopped with their slow, deadly surge forward. Not knowing who was on their way, or whether they were friend or foe (although she was leaning heavily toward friend), Cordelia didn't wait to for her opponents to pay attention to her again before she was slicing through them. Taking full advantage of a momentary distraction - thus was her life on the battle field and she wasn't ashamed to admit it.
"Okay, ew," the brunette muttered as she sliced her blade through the upper half of one of the beasts. Blood and goo began to spray everywhere and she quickly side-stepped the mess with a disgusted look upon her features. "Can't you people just go 'poof', like normal vampires?"
The question wasn't one she expected an answer from, obviously, although she could have sworn she heard one of the fanged, slobbering ones snort in derision. It was over as soon as it began, however, because Cordelia wasted no time in slicing his head from his torso before turning toward the quickly approaching light herself.
When Gandalf finally emerged from the fog, she also very nearly cheered.
Well, okay. Not really. In actuality, she flashed him a worn, yet somehow at the same time brilliant, smile and offered a tiny wave. "Hey there! I'm Cordelia. We spoke over the message boards!"
As she greeted him, the Seer continued to hack through the various creatures that were still trying for a steady onward movement inside the Hyperion. Idly she wondered if this wizard might have some way of protecting those inside like Willow did, because if there was one thing she was seriously missing from the redhead's arsenal at this point, it was the protection spell that had encased the hotel and all of its inhabitants.
