Peter nodded at her words. "She'll do it. I'm not going to leave without what we need." There was no more apprehension in his voice. This needed to be completed. The power Peter had to take away someone's free will was something he rarely used, and that he never wanted to use in order to force someone to do something against their will.
But, looking at the city, he knew that if he had to, he would do it. This was about more than just one person.
First, though, something to address. Peter glanced at Heather from the corner of his eyes. "Don't think I didn't feel that wave of guilt. This isn't your fault any more than it is mine. At least we're working on fixing the problem."
