WHO: Harry Potter and Hermione Granger
WHAT: Standing guard
WHERE: At the gates to the Weir
WHEN: Time seems to be standing still
RATING/STATUS: TBD and In Progress
The fog was unrelenting, even to the piercing lumos that Harry was currently using on it. Not that it mattered; he had no interest in venturing out there anyway.
He stood resolute at the gates to the Weir, the home of his family and friends. Everyone had been accounted for, and there was a lockdown on the building. Still, they all had friends and aquaintances who could still be out there, so Harry decided to keep watch. That, and he would personally beat any of his children who decided to go for a stroll into the mist. Better to stay where he could spot such foolishness.
Voldemort was out there. Harry refused to deny the Dark Lord could be the cause of this, and the dead rising...it was certainly possible. And Severus was right; Voldemort had to be dealt with, not ignored. For that, Harry knew he had it in himself to defeat Voldemort in battle. Yet actively planning and premeditating the murder was giving him pause.
No, he had no room for doubt. Bellatrix had killed his beloved son, willingly and without remorse. Such as that couldn't be allowed to reach his family again. If it meant he'd have to become a wizard who killed, then so be it.
Unaware of it, Harry sighed heavily. His family needed to be back in their future, in the safety of their own world. Would they ever see it again?
