The relief that she wasn’t completely alone had gone just as quickly as it had arrived and was replaced with the fear and nerves she’d had earlier. Jessica tried to keep her small smile in place, no more freaking out, she wasn’t that weak but really this was all still new to her. It felt as if she was stuck in some scary movie gone wrong.
“No, I don’t really have anything yet.” Jessica replied, glancing past Jo into the hallway and then back again. Going out there seemed worse than being stuck alone but going before anything worse showed itself or she began to freak out all over again was a good idea. “Is there..” she paused a moment, “anything out there?”
