She was taking everything well, considering. Sam was sure that she'd have had a more extreme panic attack than the one that they had witnessed. One that would eventually result in Ruby and himself having to haul her someplace more quiet and secluded, as the last thing that they needed to do was draw in the attention of any nearby vampires. But she was doing okay. No shouting. No hysteria. Definitely good.
"At first we thought that maybe you were possessed," Sam told her, "by a demon. But you walked straight through the trap we set up for you." He nodded over to the red circle. "If a demon would have tried to walk through that thing, they would have gotten stuck. You didn't." Then he looked back over at Jessica. "The second was a shapeshifter. A creature that can take on the form of anything and anyone that it wants to. I've run into a few before. Didn't want to make the mistake of being fooled by one again. Especially since...it made more sense, you know? At the time. That it would have been some kind of monster instead of you." He tilted his head to the side and looked at Jessica in the face. "Again, it all sounds crazy. But it's all real."
