The hug had ended much sooner than Jessica had wanted it to but he was still there, that’s what counted. She kept her hands rested on his jacket, maintaining some contact at least. The tears hadn't stopped either, it seemed they were hard to stop now they had started but she managed a somewhat soft smile as he wiped them away as a silent thank you.
“How, I mean..obviously it’s possible or I wouldn’t be standing here but the dead rising? It sounds biblical.” Jessica was having trouble processing everything, she was getting some sort of answer but it all sounded so strange. She went quiet as she listened to Ruby explain some other stuff, she had a hell a lot of questions but getting them out coherently would be a task.
Jessica nodded slowly and turned her attention back to Sam, her forehead creasing as she concentrated, “it does make it easier that you’re here. Makes me feel less insane.”
