"Hello, Alex," she greeted her brother, her tone as calm as her gaze as she twisted around to peer up at him. Even sitting, he was bigger than her. She wasn't sure how well she was going to like that, him being older. Unfortunately, though, it was one of the few things that she couldn't make different and, really, a grown-up Alex was better than none at all.
A smile found its way to her lips when Hunter approached, her small arm reaching out to pet the large dog behind his ear. "Hello there! Aren't you a handsome boy." Another smile and she peered back up at her brother. "A hotel?"
Deciding a hotel would work well enough, so long as Alex was there, she gave a nod of her head. "We can go now. I'm not very hungry, but there's not much more to see here." Which was true enough. The ambulance had already pulled away, and the police were busy questioning those who had been present. Or, at least, the adults that had been there. The children were overlooked, as children often were. Delia preferred it that way. Most of the time, at least.
Rising to her feet, she continued to pet Hunter gently as she focused her attention on her brother. "Do you have any idea why we're here?" she asked curiously. She wasn't in quite as much of a rush to get back home now that he was here, but she still wondered who had the nerve (and the power) to bring her here without even so much as asking her first.
