"Master Pakku?" Katara echoed, feeling slightly dizzy at the realization that Aang was from that far back in their adventures together. He hadn't even met Toph yet, she realized. Hadn't learned Earthbending. Hadn't... well, there was a lot he'd yet to do. Boy, do we have our work cut out for us. The errant thought was forced away with the shake of her head, and she sighed softly.
Absently petting Momo on top of his head, she turned her attention to Appa as she thought of how best to proceed. She didn't want to tell Aang too much, and scare him, but he couldn't keep going thinking that they were both from the same point in time, too. With a heavy sigh, she finally looked back to her friend.
"Aang, that's been months for me," she blurted out. Her cheeks reddened a bit as she realized she'd just done the exact opposite of what she'd set out to do. So much for easing him into the conversation. With a mental shrug, she continued.
"I showed up not long before we were set to stop the Fire Nation. I'm already a Master Waterbender." Her smile returned, however slight. "And you've already moved on to mastering Earthbending." She paused there, letting him take in what she'd just said, and waiting for the questions she was sure were to follow.
