Aang struggled to see through the rotten flying conditions. He held tight onto the reigns and squinted through the patches of darkness. The city was horrible. If the air was like this it made him wonder what the water was like for Katara. He was a little worried until he saw something flying into the sky. Ice!...No water. That must be the signal.
His face lit up. "I'm coming Katara." He grinned. "C'mon Appa, don't you wanna see Katara again? woah!" He had to hold on as the speed accelerated and Appa understood Aangs feelings. Even missed her too, but it was hard to tell when he was trying to hard to hang onto the Bison rather than pay attention to his expressions. He could do that later, now he was focusing on not becoming some of that gross stuff between Appa's toes that he made Sokka clean.
The Bison finally landed and the hotel shook on impact. Aang grinned. "Gotta work on those landings." He patted the side of Appa's head and used his airbending skills to float to the ground. "Katara!" A grin stretched across his face as he ran to her. "New trick?" He practically tackled her in a hug.
