As soon as she had approval from Peter and Cordelia, Katara rushed up the stairs to the roof of the Hyperion. Glancing around, her brow furrowed a bit at the significant lack of moisture in the air and instead decided it would be best to rely mostly on the water in her pouch. Summoning it forth with a twitch of her wrist, she focused her blue eyes on the skies above and with a grunted, "Yah!", began to send small balls of water into the air above her. Higher and higher, wanting Aang to notice the spherical, nearly-frozen objects and follow their path back to her.
It looked, from a distance, as though she was almost juggling them. Her hands were in constant motion, feet spread and turned at just the right angle to get the best distance out of the liquid. Even with the intensity of the waterbending, though, a smile was on her face. Aang was here! Katara couldn't wait to see her friend again. She'd missed him, terribly, and knew things would be even better with him here to help keep this planet safe. It was what he did, after all, being the Avatar.
"Come on, Aang," she murmured as she increased her speed and twisted the balls just so, so that they twisted and spun as they rose and fell through the air. And then she thought she spotted him - a large, white-shaped object flying through the skies. Not too high, below the cloud cover at least.
With a bounce of joy, Katara twisted at her middle and threw both arms into the air. The balls instantly merged together and a large wave sliced through the sky, cresting and churning within itself as it waited to be noticed by the approaching boy and bison.
