Sarah wrapped her arms around him and laid her forehead against his, a common gesture between them that fit everything from support to intimate moments just between them. Right now, it wasn't to think things at him in words, but to share the overwhelming gratefulness she felt for what he was offering to her, as well as share that love that continued to grow deeper with each day and each thing they did for each other.
Without him, someday she might figure it out, but along that path she could lose sight of many things, make irrevocable mistakes that harmed more than helped because she had no constant by which to guide herself, doubting that, alone, she possessed that strength. With him, even if she still made mistakes, she knew not only would he teach her, he would make certain she didn't lose herself in these powers. After all, it was the thing she tried to do for him everyday in big ways and small, give him reminders that while he was the Champion, while he was an evolved human with immense power, he was still Peter, still every bit as important as the other parts of his identity and every bit entitled to what came with just being Peter.
And all of this was not only hers, but theirs. "I love you, Peter," she whispered, arms tightening.
