Zack had calculated all possibilities, indeed he had calculated all impossibilities too. There was simply no rational, logical explanation as to why he was suddenly in an empty internet cafe it midday sun in what looked like a place with warm weather, palm trees but American flags. Perhaps somewhere near California. The best estimation without data that Zack could give was a psychotropic drug in his system that had effected his short term memory function in the cerebral cortex. At least some people he knew and trusted were coming to collect him. Although, the infiinite possible theory of trust was incalculatble, Zack still felt that they were good people to put his life in potential danger for.
Zack pulled the back off of a spare computer, figuring that he'd just pay for the damages afterwards. It was a fairly old computer, 1995 Windows PC by all accounts but still, Zack thought he could fashion a device that could be used a weapon in case his attackers came back. Anything like a taser gun, potentially shocking his attacker with three thousand volts . Zack pulled the wires and sorted them for viablility. The chips and memory ROMs were next, the plastic would be useful for insulation and protecting him. There were dangerous chemicals inside the unit but if he was careful, Zack could avoid using these unless he was absolutely certain he needed a booster power. There was a battery converter for power but he calculated that he had .
Twenty minutes later and some seriously fast work, Zack had created a small hand held device that could shock an attacker once, maybe twice if the battery could perhaps withstand the power it needed, although Zack was fairly sure he only had enough for one round of volts. Rather, the ampage was the measure that did the real damage, not the volts but Zack wasn't particularly worried about his own reasoning. Just a quick wire to connect and then he could finally see what was going on.
