Her heart was actually hammering in her chest now, nerves beginning to get the best of her. She didn't have much to be nervous about, really, but she still felt anxious all the same. Maybe it was that good kind of anxious, though, the kind you felt when you were really happy or excited about something. That was what it had to be, because there was nothing bad going on within sight.
"I'll like it," she assured him, and she knew she would. Anything written and played by him would be amazing, and she was sure of that. However, when he actually did start to play and sing, she couldn't even begin to hide her reaction. Her expression became completely immersed and serene, eyes trained on him and never moving away for a second. Even when he looked up and met her gaze, she didn't look away.
The whole song gave her chills, from the chords to the lyrics to the sound of his voice as he sang them. And when it was through and the room fell silent, she felt tears forming in her eyes. Alex would normally have just squealed and jumped around if someone did something like this for her back home, but here? Especially after she'd died and come back? It affected her so much differently.
"That was beautiful," she breathed, shaking her head a little.
