"Yep," Nathan announced from the corner of one of the the lobby sofas, a bowl of fresh popcorn, courtesy of Simon's skills, in his lap. His position about the whole thing was clear – he was Switzerland. He had never cared for Spike at all and had doubt about Spike's motives for doing any good he did. His mother had her share of crimes to her name as well. His sideline spot was mostly entertainment, but part quiet monitoring of the situation if he was honest with himself.
"Just as I figured, a sidelines party." A soda was dropped into Nathan's lap along with the female voice speaking and he looked up to find Sarah. She shook her head at him with a click of her tongue before she snagged a handful of popcorn, the other two sodas remaining tucked against her side by one arm as she dropped lightly onto Peter lap.
"One for you too," she said, nodding to the bottles, then turned to Angela. "Hi, Mrs Petrelli."
And then Spike walked in and Sarah settled back against Peter and watched the vampire make himself at home.
