She turned around and leaned against his body rather than the bag. She missed his smell, the warmth of his skin, the way he touched her, his warm eyes, his laugh. Abby could go on and on about the things she missed the most about him. Her arms slipped around him tiredly. She wanted to be mad, to let into him. But she couldn't, not like she used to, things were different.
Her brow raised and she closed her eyes, sighing as she listened to his heartbeat. "Ring shopping?" There was a ghost of a smile. "I don't need anything fancy Hannibal, simple old wedding band will do. It's not the ring that matters, it's the meaning."
She turned her head and looked at his arm. "Holy shit.." Her tiredness forgotten she turned and started looking at his arm. "Are you okay?" She needed to hear more about this friend sometime.
