Logan didn't need a confession of love, he knew, that was all he needed. Every time he looked into her eyes, touched her body he felt that undeniable truth. She loved him, eternally. He just knew. Nothing needed to be said or done. Knowledge is power is what they say. Logan agreed. Feeling and knowing were two different things. He'd rather know of the untold, indescribable love she carried for him than feel it. It was much more powerful. Knowing that she carried around someone as powerful as he held inside himself for her.. it was better than any drug could ever hope to be.
It wasn't arrogance, it was confidence. Not even that really. Capturing her lips again his arms banded around her, holding her close as possible. It felt as if they were floating and time had stopped. The world could be falling apart outside these walls and he didn't give a damn. If the world were going to end, he knew he couldn't find a better place to take his last breath. To have her be the last thing he saw before they both departed this world.. Well, that was a gift he only hoped for. Surely that was the only just way for things to be.
He said a little prayer that it happened that way. Not that he wanted her to die. But he didn't want her to go through the hell he'd gone through of burying her, having the face the future without her. No, he'd much rather just take him with her, instead of have to watch over her in the state she'd be in. Hell would be a reprieve from that sentence.
