She could not stand one more moment not knowing where he was or what happened. Selene had to see his face. Right then it was all that mattered. For her own sanity she had to find him.
The long flowing fabric that draped her frame billowed around her as she ran through the church. Her usual demeanor was gone, she did not care if anyone saw her racing frantically in the nightgown and bare feet. Reaching the kitchen she faintly noticed the bottles strewn about and would have cared if she had the time to. Snatching the keys to her car she was out the back door racing for the sleek machine.
Only she did not make it much further. His scent stopped her in her tracks. The vision of him curled up on the ground instantly brought tears to her eyes. Taking in the entire scene before her she gasped, her hand covering her mouth as her dark eyes fell upon the headstone. With her name upon it. With each beat of her heart she swore she felt it cracking for him.
"Logan." His name cracked as she said it. Her own voice so unsure and scared she did not know how she found the strength to say it. Once again she was overwhelmed by the need to be with him. All it took was a few quick strides and she was there, at her own grave. Falling to her knees she sank a bit into the freshly turned dirt. Strange wasn't it? There she was kneeling upon her own eternal bed, yet it did not hold her. Death had not been able to keep her.
Her deep eyes fell on his face. A heartbroken face. She remembered how he looked when he smiled. When he laughed. When he had claimed her as his own. Selene would do anything to see him look like that again, to erase all the pain she had caused him. Such a beautiful angel should not be so broken. Kneeling on the ground before him she gently brushed her fingers along his jaw, through the unkempt scruff that covered his face. With her coat held tightly in his arms Logan looked very much like a lost child. Easing her body down to the ground she lay beside him, her arms wrapping around his neck. Buring her face in the crook of his neck she breathed in deeply, comforted and carassed by his scent. "I am so sorry, my love. Forgive me." Selene was so angry that she had done this to him.
