It seemed that worry was a big part of life, nowadays. Even if RJ hadn't voiced it, he was grateful for having met Kat. If he really looked at them, he'd realize just how alike they were. He'd been a mentor for a long time now, and he was glad to have gotten the chance to help out the Rangers. Perhaps, if Dai Shi hadn't escaped, he would never have gotten the chance.
Before Kat had shown up, RJ wasn't sure how he'd make it through. As devastating as Casey's death was, he knew his friend would want him to go on. It was hard, but he had to try. If RJ knew Casey was cryogenically frozen, he might have felt a little less hopeless. But, it didn't mean he could be saved and maybe the false hope would hurt him more, in the long run.
RJ didn't know what to say, what could you say to that? They both knew terrible loss and they weren't the better for it. "Perhaps I will," RJ nodded, her words getting to him. He knew as long as he kept Casey's memory alive, he'd never truly be gone. And as far as he was concerned, he never ever forget Casey.
For once, RJ wished he'd been wrong about what the source of the noise. Seeing Kat get taken like that, something snapped inside him. "Kat!" There was no way he was losing someone else he cared about. Determined to get her back, RJ called upon his wolf spirit and sent it rushing towards the vampire. He followed his wolf spirit, not wasting any time in going after Kat. Today was NOT the day to mess with the wolf master.
