Peter had felt the change, and heard the computer system relay the open door, even if it wasn't set to alert. Peter shut his eyes and was in the lobby a moment later, looking over to see Heidi at the doorway.
Heidi. Always so calm. Controlling that level of calm so carefully, just for him. Calm he needed, and maybe she understood just how badly he needed it.
He moved in behind her, and wrapped his arms around her shoulders, leaning his head against the back of her neck.
