Truth be told, Jubilee didn't care too much what anyone thought of her speech patterns. The only person who'd ever told her she couldn't cuss was Logan, and he had a habit of washing her mouth out with soap, or something along those lines. Her nose curled at the thought of it and then she got quiet after a moment or two.
"All right. Jubes it is." She flashed him a bright smile and glanced around again as he continued to step closer to her. She offered her hand up to him. "Nice to meet you, Dean." She waited patiently for him to ask the envitable. what was she? how did she do that? She was just waiting for it and waiting to hear the disgust in his voice.
After a moment or two, she looked at the mess and smiled. "It's not exactly what you're thinking. I'm a mutant. Mutantcy comes from a gene that they call the X Gene, it becomes active when the mutant hits puberty. Though there are some cases where it has been known to lie dormant for years after puberty and then all of a sudden, it'll just appear. My abilities enable me not only do that, but to make things explode at a subatomic level among other things. I'm immune to remote telepathic scans and a few other things. It's just a gift. I'm technically human, you get my blood checked, it'll say that I am human. But, to borrow a term from Magneto, it's called homo-mutantus or homo-superior. Because basically, mutants are evolved humans. Evolution created us." She shrugged lightly and slid her arms about herself. "I'm not fond of Magneto, I'm an X-man. Magneto and his Brotherhood of Evil Mutants want to destroy anyone who is not a mutant. And we the X-men, there aren't many here, try to stop him."
