Taking help from the Jetti was not how Mirta Gev had expected to spend her last days, but she'd collapsed in Jaina's arms and woken up in the childrens centre run by Anakin and Padme Skywalker.
The Sith Lord and the Senator that had loved him, it was like some kind of story only she was living it. And Anakin was reformed so they said. Not that it was Sith that bothered her, Her family after all had taken contracts for Vader same as most Mando's in the war, he was a good employer as long as you held up your end of things so her Ba'buir had said. And Boba Fett had always lived up to his contracts. From what Mirta could see of the former Sith Lord, Anakin was a good man, troubled a lot of the time yes but she suspected that came with the teritory, the things he'd done, to have come out the other side with any semblance of morality was a feat she could admire, even respect. And they had taken her in, a Mandolorian, who had very publicly sworn to kill their Grandson. They'd taken her in because Jaina had said she needed help, had vouched for her. Much as it grated at Mirta to accept it, she was grateful for Jaina Solo's friendship.
It just annoyed her on every concieveable level that Jacen Solo would outlive her. He didn't deserve to.
She shifted in the bed slightly, sitting up as much as she could before the pounding in her head started again. She wanted a glass of water but both Skywalkers had told her not to move at all and moving hurt. Mirta didn't know if she was gonna get out of this one, wasn't something she could fight much as she tried.
But she wasn't spent yet. And she refused to go before her time.
