She was zoning out, one finger twisting a strand of hair around it over and over again as he eyes watched the unmoving monitors. It was movement that brought her back to reality. Blinking, Kim stood up, stretching her arms over her head. Picking up her black and pink (she couldn't resist when she had it made) gymnastics jacket, she slipped it on over her arms. Just as she did, she felt a vibration in her pocket. When she got her, she had got her hands on a cellphone. She had been amazed at how small it was, and how she could take it anywhere. Technology was evolving and changing fast. As she walked, she flicked it open and replied to Jack's text.
Slipping the phone away, she felt her Morpher in her other pocket, just as reassurance. Walking to the front door, she pulled it open. A smile came across her face when she saw Casey. "Hey there." she said cheerfully. "You sure you're up for this?" she was just as bad about doing something when she was sick. She had pushed herself until it nearly killed her. Kim could understand why he would lie, if he was lying. But if she caught any sign of him being to ill, she wasn't going to let him go on. Or he was going to try and not let him go on.
"Oh, and I'm Kim, don't think we've had a chance to actually meet yet." She hadn't been here that long, and she hadn't really met any of the sick rangers. She'd talked to Jack, but apparently he was better. She'd heard Casey was one of the sick ones, and that was basically how she knew who he was. Other than that she didn't know anything about him. Besides stopping people from getting killed, that was sort of the purpose, to get to know who she was working with. You couldn't be an effective team without knowing and trusting one another. Not in her opinion anyway.
