At Heidi's wordless direction, Sarah perched on the very edge of her bed rather than climb back into the nest of blankets and pillows. She wanted to be on the other bed, holding Charlie's hand or something, but much like Hiro had stepped back slightly to give them space to work, she knew that was likely best. Still, her worry and lack of constructive ways to help showed as she wrung her hands and peered around the others.
When Hiro moved, Nathan moved to stand behind him, one hand on the man's shoulder in a silent show of support. He knew Peter was nearly there, so any continuing care could come from Peter, rather than what medical knowledge Nathan had. He remained there, still giving what support he could, as Peter arrived and went to work, eyes closed in the waiting silence. It wasn't long, but it felt so.
Slipping off the bed when Peter sat back on the floor, Sarah wrapped her arms around him from behind, the hug tight as she rested her chin on his shoulder and watched Charlie. That she was awake had to be a good sign, or so she prayed.
