Jem was always a bit more animated about things than the average person, even if this particular woman wasn't quite so average. "I'm different, too," she said in a hushed tone, as if it were some big secret and it wasn't blaringly obvious that she had issues. When people referred to her as different, though, they meant crazy.
She watched with an impish sort of of gaze as the other woman rose up even higher, and she gave her a wink and a giggle at the same time. "I'll try!" she chirped, then spun on her heel and began walking away cheerfully.
