The Doctor gave her a look of horror as she suggested that the chameleon circuit might start working again. "No!!" he gasped with a dramatic air, "she wouldn't do that to me!" he insisted, with a little laugh. He'd grown so fond of his police-box that the thought of fixing the circuit was like blasphemy to him.
"This is Los Angeles 2005 in case you didn't know," he told her, grimacing slightly as he prepared to admit the full extent of the parking malfunction. "I was aiming for Cardiff 2008. Done worse, mind you, but she was being a brat and wouldn't land anywhere else. Think I was pulled into... something strange. Although, you're the second seemingly-impossible-person to pop up," he rambled, resorting to his old habit of excessive talking to cover up any anxiety he might have had at the situation.
