Brennan stared at Booth, slightly confused, "Psychology as a science is by definition a paradox. There can be no concrete proof in any theory that is examined as we can't stick probes into people's brains just to see how they're reacting psychologically. However, there is a certain part of anthropology that requires psychological effects upon the subculture but I prefer not to use specious and egregious evidence to aid my research as it would completely deface myself as a scientist." Once she was finished she realised she may have spoken a bit too much but once she was started she couldn’t stop.
“In sickness and in health?” Brennan added with a small grin, “you make it sound like a marriage.” She couldn’t help but smile as he returned the hug despite the awkwardness, she remained where she was for a few moments longer before drawing back looking a little embarrassed. “Sorry,” she mumbled, the hug had been a spur of the moment thing and it had surprised her just as much.
"I don't put any stock in psychology like I said but naming a talking skeleton shows that you have a feminine side, frankly and like I've said before, in this partnership, you're the girl and I'm the guy. Don't name the skeletons and you won't form attachments to them." Brennan was somewhat teasing him, which was just as mean considering he was sick.
