Jack was only able to give Buffy a forced smile. "Sorry." Words were difficult when he could hardly stay awake. For now he was fighting unconsciousness but it wouldn't be long before he lost the battle. He was flushed with fever and it was only getting worse with movement. "Bad day.." He muttered as he let Buffy do the moving instead and stopped attempting all together.
His eyes shifted blearily to the slayer with a small smirk. "Hate this place.." He laughed, but it only sent him into a fit of coughing that he covered with his arm. "Walls are not always my friend. " He paused and looked up at Buffy. "They were solid.." Biting his lip as he nodded and tried to keep talking. "This isn't normal.." Brows knitting in worry, he was scared. Walls had never been solid for him before. Nothing had. If it was solid he could move through it, and that was how it'd been since he was a kid.
The word hospital made him tense. He didn't like the sound of that. At the same time he was to far gone to even object, which meant things were going from not good to worse. He was fading, as Charlie held the cloth to his forehead his eyes were sliding shut. "..Kira?" He frowned but it hurt to talk, the heat was making him delusional. He wanted to see her and his mind was to tired to fight it. A hand moved to touch his chest as he felt a stinging sensation that made him cringe. His fingers fumbled with the zipper of his SPD uniform as he pulled off the jacket. Eyes landing on each of them before he made a small sound of discomfort.
"Never..never felt this before. Kira.." He reached a hand to touch Charlie's face above his and his eyes narrowed dangerously. "...You're not Kira." It was almost as if the fever had the opposite effect on him, that it was starting to clear the fog he'd been living in since Charlie came into his life, of coarse the side effects were probably only temporary. But even temporary he felt panic and it showed in his eyes as he reached for the laser strapped to his thigh and pointed it at her.
