"Well, in a manner of speaking," Gabriel said as he crossed over to one of the couches rather than returning to the front desk, sitting down and motioning for Sam to do the same. "When my mind finds something that it finds interesting, intriguing, confusing, or a mixture of the three, it tends to have a heard time focusing on anything else. I have to force it to actually keep to the task at hand," He said, clearing his throat.
"And I have to say, Mister Anders, that you would happen to fall under the category of a mixture of the three," Gabriel said, taking a deep breath. "Like I said, I don't want to alarm you, but... have you ever... had the inkling that you might... not... be all human?" Gabriel asked, pausing several times in the question, each time that the urge gripped him that asking it might not be the best course of action.
But in the end, his curiosity won out over any rationality.
