He was still frowning. He couldn't help it. Something was wrong here, and it was bothering him. No, it was worrying him, and Peter wasn't good at worrying about the people he loved. It drove him crazy. His fingers tightened on hers, and even that was more bone and less flesh than he was used to feeling.
"You shouldn't be losing weight like that if you have such a strong appetite," he said. His voice was still soft. Still concerned. "And eating through a package of candy bars isn't anything healthy, even if it's eating."
Peter picked up her hand and kissed the knuckles, leaning her hand against his chin. "Will you let me have a little bit of time to fuss over you? Maybe pamper you a bit? I think I can do that pretty well."
