"Hmmm," Lindsey murmured distractedly before picking up the paper from the counter to show her the front. "Local news. I was wondering if any of the strange ended up making headlines."
It didn't happen often and when it did, the reporter usually managed to twist the story to take on a more normal light. With the feeling of impending doom hanging over the city, it seemed like there would be a few more interesting stories.
Folding the paper up, he tossed it down to the end of the counter before looking back to Faith, pulling his suit coat off before she sat down and motioning for her to take the stool.
"We have a deal. You knock it off and I buy you lunch," the lawyer replied pointedly as he pushed one of the menus over to her. "Besides, I think being chewed on would be a little more hazardous to someone's health."
